Brian J. Schultz, Ph.D. in Chemistry
As President, Chairman, and Founder, Brian uses his multidisciplinary background in business, entrepreneurship, and chemistry to develop customer centric products and lead project teams. At Dimien, he has lead investment tranches resulting in more than $2.0 Million in federal, state, local, angel, and venture capital funds. Brian remains involved in the local startup scene as a mentor to fledgling teams through the Innovation-Corps Site program, the University at Buffalo TEC Panasci competition, and the local SBIR/STTR support system.
An entrepreneur from the beginning, Brian worked his local neighborhood by selling lawn mowing and painting services. He went on to earn a dual degree in Chemistry and Adolescent Education from SUNY Oswego. During his undergraduate studies he was voted into positions at the Chemistry Club (Vice President) and Outdoor Club (President). Immediately afterward, he earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University at Buffalo and graduated from the National Science Foundation Innovation-Corps program.
Outside of work, Brian spends time with his wife and three kids, explores local destinations, enjoys the outdoors, and is a food buff.
